The Simple Sizing Rule: Shop Your Bra Band Size
Here's the secret to choosing your size: shop your bra band size (the number, not the cup size).
If you wear a size 10, 12, or 14 bra band, that's your Lucy and Loo size. It's that straightforward.
Why This Works
Our dresses feature convertible straps that literally tie around you to create the top of the dress. This means it doesn't matter what size bust you have—the top WILL fit you beautifully.
Important: Shop your top size, not your bottom size.
If you're a size 10 at the top but a size 14 in the hips, you'll still fit a Size One dress perfectly. The convertible design accommodates your curves where they matter most.
Our Three Sizes
Size One
Bra band sizes: 8, 10, 12
Size Two
Bra band sizes: 12, 14, 16
Size Three
Bra band sizes: 16, 18, 20
Between Sizes? Size Up!
If you're between sizes (for example, a 12 and 14), we recommend going up a size.
Why? The smaller size will still fit, but will be a bit more snug at the waist. The larger size will sit gently and comfortably. Since our convertible dresses wrap around you at the waist or under the bust, the larger size won't feel loose at all—it'll feel perfectly tailored to you.
Style-Specific Sizing Notes
Maxi Dress & Summer Dress
Available in Size One and Size Two only. These are made with a half circle skirt. They fit beautifully on most sizes, but if you have a big hips, a full circle may be a more comfortable fit.
Ball Gowns, Mid Length & Cocktail Dresses
These styles feature a full circle skirt (almost twice the fabric of a Maxi dress), making them more accommodating in the hip and tummy area.
We recommend Ball Gowns for:
- Ladies who are size 14 and over
- Pregnant ladies
- Anyone who prefers extra coverage and flow around the tummy
Good news: You can absolutely mix and match Maxi and Ball Gown styles in your bridal party!
